Today, we proudly announce our partnership with Food Access La to help keep their eight farmers markets open, ensuring communities across Los Angeles can continue accessing fresh, local food. This commitment supports small-scale growers and improves food security in underserved neighborhoods.

Our sweetgreen food ethos and food beliefs were born at the famed Dupont Circle Farmers market, where our 2nd restaurant opened in 2009. It’s where we learned the power of connecting directly with our food and those who grow it. The lessons we learned in those early days would dictate our mission and guide how we grew our supply chains and our restaurants across the country.

Today, this partnership feels more personal to me because, now in LA almost 2 decades later, the Hollywood Farmers market is where I connect with my food and the talented farmers who grow it.

We know the power of connecting people to real food and the vital role farmers markets play in making that possible. That’s why we’re incredibly proud of this team for jumping into action to truly make a difference in our community.
